Hi you! Welcome to another December Lucia Special 🎅🏼. Today I’ll be sharing with you some screenshots and recommendations of the Christmas albums I’ve had on repeat this season. From them all, I think you can tell how much I love group singing and harmonies! I 100% recommend them all.
(Yes, I use Apple Music. And no, I don’t care about Spotify!).
1. One More Christmas by Girl Named Tom
I first found out about Girl Named Tom—like most people—through The Voice (a popular music competition). Their singing was always so angelic and I listened to their performances long after the show ended. I can’t tell you how excited I was to stumble into their Christmas album just this morning. It’s already wound itself around my poor lil heart!
My favorite song in the album right now is One More Christmas. Omg it’s so angelic!
2. Holidays Around The World by Pentatonix
I’ve loved Pentatonix since I found out about them in college. Their harmonies and creativity is out of this world. They’ve been a Christmas staple for me over the past 5-6 years now and keep getting better. When I first saw the suave, sleek, and modern style cover of their 2022 album I have to say I was wary. Their other Christmas album covers are the traditional red, green, and white with lots of heart.
I was in the car with my sister when I started playing this album—and I absolutely LOVE it. I love how they’ve inculcates tunes from around the world into the Christmas carols. African, Middle Eastern, Asian etc. My favorite is Love Came On Christmas Day. I’ve been gushing about that song all month long!
3. A Very Backstreet Christmas by Backstreet Boys
A Very Backstreet Christmas is super heartwarming. There’s no major twist to the songs but rather, the original integrity of the classic melodies were kept. It’s a comforting and familiar kind of new.
My favorite from it is Last Christmas originally by Wham. I’ve been enjoying the album a lot and definitely recommend you add it to your Christmas music collection.😇
